Hi, I'm Carrie! I've been a dental assistant for 23 years, and wow! Has the time flown! Before finding my way to dentistry, I worked as a Vascular Surgical Technologist at St. Luke's Hospital. After having my daughter, I made the switch to a career with a more mom-friendly schedule, earning my dental assisting certificate in 2009 and becoming licensed in 2019.

At South Coast Smiles, I have the pleasure of assisting Dr. Sean and Dr. Karina, and I recently took on the role of Infection Control Coordinator. I also love creating systems that help our office run as smoothly and efficiently as possible! What I love most about being a pediatric dental assistant is getting to provide specialized, compassionate care to our littlest patients, creating a positive, fear-free environment through patient education and comforting techniques.

Outside of work, you'll find me spending time with my husband, our three kids, and my three-year-old granddaughter, Annie.
